What SimpleTexting Plan Should You Choose?

We'll compare and contrast the costs and capacities of each plan to take the guesswork out of upgrading.

When it comes to picking a SimpleTexting plan, there are three main things to consider:

  1. How many messages do you plan on sending a month?
  2. How many people do you plan on sending those messages to?
  3. What’s your budget?

Our pricing structure is based on these three factors, so the more you know about how you plan to use the platform, the stronger idea you’ll have about what plan is right for you.

But before we go into each plan in greater detail, here are a few helpful tips to consider.

And finally, perhaps our greatest feature of all— you can scale your plan up or down depending on anticipated volume.

For example, if you have an event coming up that requires double your average number of texts, upgrade your plan for a month, then return to your baseline next month without interrupting your service.

What Are Credits?

Before we take a look at our plans, it’s important to cover what a credit is. At SimpleTexting, we use the term “credit” to classify a text message. Instead of saying your plan comes with 500 available texts per month, we would say 500 credits.

That’s because some text messages require a little extra oomph to send. As a result, they cost a little bit more.

A traditional 160-character SMS text message will cost you 1 credit. An Extended SMS message (between 161-306 characters) costs 2 credits. And an MMS message (305-1600 characters or a message that includes rich media) will cost you 3 credits.

Here’s a larger-scale picture of how this works.

Say you want to send 1 SMS message, to 500 contacts, 4 times a month. That would mean you would need 2,000 credits for that month to cover your campaigns. And of course a little extra if you plan on replying to any incoming messages.

Now, if you want to send the same message to your 500 contacts 4 times a month, but each message would include an image, that would cost you 3 credits. So now you would need 6,000 credits despite the same volume and frequency.

As a simple rule of thumb, just ask yourself how many messages you plan to send per month, and multiply that by the number of people you think you’ll be sending them to. And from there, multiply your total by three should you want to ensure extended messaging capabilities.

Now, let’s dive into our plans.

Which SimpleTexting Plan Should You Choose?

Level 1: $29 Per Month

Our smallest plan begins at just $29 a month. This plan gives you 500 credits which would work out to:

  • 1 monthly SMS to 500 people or 1 monthly MMS to 166 people
  • 2 monthly SMS to 250 people or 2 MMS to 83 people per month
  • 3 monthly SMS to 166 people or 3 MMS to 27 people per month

This plan is best for: anyone who is just getting started and wants to test the waters with a smaller test audience to see how your text program is received.

Level 2: $49 Per Month

One of our most popular plans among small businesses’ stands at $49 a month. This plan gives you 1,000 credits which would work out to:

  • 1 monthly SMS to 1,000 people or 1 monthly MMS to 333 people
  • 2 monthly SMS to 500 people or 2 MMS to 166 people per month
  • 3 monthly SMS to 333 people or 3 MMS to 83 people per month

This plan is best for: a small business with a mid-sized contact list with room to grow.

Level 3: $79 Per Month

Popular among mid-sized e-commerce businesses and small-medium-sized event planners, this plan gives you 2,000 credits which would work out to:

  • 1 monthly SMS to 2,000 people or 1 monthly MMS to 666 people
  • 2 monthly SMS to 1,000 people or 2 MMS to 333 people per month
  • 3 monthly SMS to 666 people or 3 MMS to 222 people per month

This plan is best for: a mid-sized business that plans to send out more frequent updates to 500 or fewer people. Also ideal for internal communications at a 100-500 person organization.

Level 4: $109 Per Month

Our mid-sized plan creates the opportunity to reach 3,000 people once a month. And via a platform that has a 95% open rate nonetheless! Our 3,000 credit plan breaks down as:

  • 1 monthly SMS to 3,000 people or 1 monthly MMS to 1,000 people
  • 2 monthly SMS to 1,500 people or 2 MMS to 500 people per month
  • 3 monthly SMS to 1,000 people or 3 MMS to 333 people per month

This plan is best for: a business with 1,000+ email contacts who you’re looking to activate further through text marketing.

Level 5: $229 Per Month

This is the first tier of what we would consider our larger plans. While not yet close to enterprise level, this plan can give you access to:

  • 1 monthly SMS to 7,500 people or 1 monthly MMS to 2,500 people
  • 2 monthly SMS to 3,750 people or 2 MMS to 1,250 people per month
  • 3 monthly SMS to 2,500 people or 3 MMS to 833 people per month

This plan is best for: hospitality clients or other industries with more of an unpredictable monthly volume.

Level 6: $399 Per Month

This tier is a happy medium if you need a few more credits without much of a bump in price. This plan supports:

  • 1 monthly SMS to 15,000 people or 1 monthly MMS to 5,000 people
  • 2 monthly SMS to 7,500 people or 2 monthly MMS to 2,500 people
  • 3 monthly SMS to 5,000 people or 3 monthly MMS to 1,666 people

Level 7: $549 Per Month

This level is an excellent high-volume option for a more than reasonable price. It could easily manage internal communications for a large, multi-state organization with a capacity for:

  • 1 monthly SMS to 25,000 people or 1 monthly MMS to 8,333 people
  • 2 monthly SMS to 12,500 people or 2 MMS to 4,166 people per month
  • 3 monthly SMS to 8,333 people or 3 MMS to 2,777 people per month

This plan is best for: a marketing agency that manages several text marketing accounts, or a large organization (1,000+ staff) that utilizes texting for internal communications.

Level 8: $899 Per Month

This is our final pricing tier before we reach enterprise-level solutions. At 50,000 credits this is a large communications solution fit for any high-level marketer. For context, this level gets you:

  • 1 monthly SMS to 50,000 people // or 1 monthly MMS to 16,666 people
  • 2 monthly SMS to 25,000 people // 2 MMS to 8,333 people per month
  • 3 monthly SMS to 16,666 people // 3 MMS to 5,555 people per month

This plan is best for: a service provider who’s involved in high-level customer service or sweeping updates for an audience of what would be close to a small city.

Level 9: Enterprise

If you’re in need of a solution exceeding 50,000 monthly credit, you fall into our Enterprise category. For you, we suggest connecting with one of our representatives to discuss your specific needs.
