10 Tips For Text Marketers With a 10-Digit Number

Short codes are no longer a text marketer’s only option when it comes to their phone number. A business can also choose to:

  • Text enable their existing 10-digit landline
  • Choose and verify a new toll-free number
  • Register and text enable a number with a local area code relevant to them

While short codes have the advantage of being quick and easy to remember, especially when used with keyword marketing, there are plenty of positives to having a 10-digit number as well.

1. Add a Click-to-Text Button

If your business plans to text one-on-one with your audience, you may want to consider adding a click-to-text button to your website. This free tool helps you place a button on your website that, when clicked, automatically opens a pre-filled message on the customer’s native text messaging app.

2. Mobile Sign-Up Widgets

3. Utilize Web Sign Up Forms

10. Facebook Lead Campaigns

Last but not least, here’s an easy way to convert your long code into leads through Facebook ad campaigns. Facebook lead ads have the power to drive massive amounts of new business, with minimal effort.

Facebook lead ads work in three steps.

  1. The prospect sees the ad on their news feed and clicks the call-to-action button.
  2. A form pops up directly within the ad. Facebook auto-populates the fields with the info associated with their account.
  3. They submit the form and you can follow up directly with additional marketing materials or info.
