Before this latest round of platform updates was released, we asked ourselves: what does SimpleTexting look like as a customer service tool? What features do we currently offer and where are our service gaps?
We take every customer feature request into consideration, and a common thread these last few months has been the desire to drive more fruitful customer experiences—more purchases, more conversations.
We haven’t developed a magic wand (yet) to grant every customer service wish, but we have rolled out a few new solutions to help you create more meaningful interactions with subscribers.
Keyword confirmations were previously limited to 130 characters. But with our new update, you can now include up to 1600 characters! Additionally, keyword confirmation messages can now include MMS supported rich media like photos and video clips.
Messages that include photos are estimated to drive 25% more clicks and 8X higher engagement. With MMS and extended messaging now available with keyword confirmations, you can start to engage subscribers within seconds of joining your list.
As a SimpleTexting customer, you have your choice of text-enabled phone numbers. Most popular are industry-specific short codes or a new, toll-free number. We can also work with you to text-enable your existing 10-digit landline.
For organizations that want a new 10-digit number specific to an area or region, we’re excited to share our new solution.
You can now search for and purchase a local number to text enable right from your account! Start by opening your profile and settings.
Next, select My number from your top menu.
Then, click the Change number button at the bottom of your page.
Choose the Local number option.
Finally, enter your area code and choose from the available numbers listed.
As one of the most highly requested features to date, we’re excited to share that you can now enable desktop push notifications for incoming messages!
With push notifications, you can navigate away from SimpleTexting without worrying about missed messages. To enable them, click on your account name at the top-right corner, then click Enable notifications.
At the top of your browser toolbar, you’ll receive this confirmation message. Click Allow.
Now, whenever a contact sends you a message you’ll be notified right away.
By default, we’ll snooze push notifications outside of regular office hours according to your time zone. If you’re working outside of those hours, you can unsnooze them by hovering over your name and clicking the switch next to Notifications.
Over the last decade, we’ve grown as a platform due in large part to users like you (cue PBS music). As we continue to evolve, solutions driven by your user experience will power our innovations. While today the focus is customer experience, tomorrow may bring solutions to any number of use cases.
