How do I get started?

A few minutes now can save you hours later. Here’s how to connect the two apps in just a few easy steps.

Go to the Integrations section of SimpleTexting. Then select Mailchimp.
Authenticate your Mailchimp account. Type in your Mailchimp username and password.

Add a sync. Each “Sync” will link together a SimpleTexting subscriber list and a Mailchimp subscriber list.
Map your fields. If you collect additional info from your subscribers, such as first name, you can sync it between the two platforms.

Done! Click Sync lists and you’re all set.

Easily sync your SimpleTexting contacts with Mailchimp

Our Mailchimp integration makes combining email and text as easy as possible. It works by synchronizing your Mailchimp and SimpleTexting contact lists. All you have to do is connect your Mailchimp account through our handy app. Choose your list(s), map the fields, hit sync, and you’re done.

Invite SMS contacts to subscribe to your emails with data collection

Using our built-in Data Collection tool, you can prompt new text contacts to provide their email addresses (and other relevant details) to join your email list. After someone replies with their email, it will instantly sync with Mailchimp.

Collect phone numbers through Mailchimp SMS marketing forms

To collect phone numbers in Mailchimp, all you have to do is add a phone number field to an existing form. Your contacts’ numbers will automatically be imported into SimpleTexting.

Double opt-in

After someone enters their phone number, we’ll send them a text confirmation. Your contacts just need to reply Y or YES to confirm their subscription.

Confirmation text

You can create a standard confirmation text which will be sent along with your first campaign. Your contacts can reply HELP for help or STOP to cancel.

Web form

Use MailChimp SMS marketing forms to collect mobile numbers and have them trigger SimpleTexting SMS autoresponders (automated SMS drip campaigns).

Can Mailchimp send SMS messages?

Mailchimp can send text messages, but only if you have a Mailchimp Store or use Mailchimp Appointment Scheduling.

When SMS is enabled, customers need to opt in (give permission) to receive your texts. You need a third-party text messaging service that integrates with Mailchimp to send text messages for other uses (like SMS marketing campaigns, a welcome series for new contacts, or collecting customer reviews).

Can Mailchimp collect phone numbers?

Mailchimp can collect phone numbers when you use the forms feature and enable the phone number field.

Can you do SMS marketing on Mailchimp?

With a third-party SMS marketing platform, you can run campaigns, manage contacts, and track the results from one dashboard. We integrate directly with Mailchimp, so you can import your contacts directly over to our platform and start sending marketing messages.
